The Doggy Cool Mat is filled with non-toxic absorbent crystals. Just soak in cool water until plump (approximately 45 minutes). Roll in a towel to remove the excess water. It holds its coolness for days. The mat itself works totally through evaporation. The outer surface of the mat stays relatively dry. It also keeps the most important part of your dog cool ( belly & paws.)
